The Best Truck in Alberta: A Look at the 2019 Ram 1500

The Best Truck in Alberta: A Look at the 2019 Ram 1500

Dodge's entry in the battle for pickup-truck supremacy is the
all-new redesigned 2019 RAM 1500. This full-size truck is lighter, longer, and
wider than last year's model; engineered to be more durable than ever before;
and features a fresh upscale look that makes a big, bold statement. You'll be able to work harder and play harder with the power and reliability you've come to know from the RAM brand.

Powerful Engines

Dodge's 2019 RAM 1500 offers three engines. All Ram 1500 trims come equipped
with a stock 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine with eTorque that produces 305
horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. However, RAM lovers can also upgrade
to one of the Ram 1500's two larger engines.

First, an available 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 delivers even more muscle,
with 395 ponies under the hood and 410 lb-ft of torque. Second โ€” and
topping the engine ladder โ€” is the same 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 but with the eTorque
mild hybrid system, which provides a supplemental 130 pound-feet of torque and
even improves gas mileage.

Responsive Performance

Put your foot on the gas and revel in the 2019 Dodge RAM 1500's
powerful acceleration and smooth response. Paired with a standard eight-speed
automatic transmission, this truck easily climbs up to speed on Edmonton's busy highways and Alberta's country roads.

With available trims, the RAM can effortlessly tow 12,750
pounds, and with Dodge's air suspension, it still rides and handles well.
Rear-wheel drive comes standard, but you can also opt for the available four-wheel
drive powertrain system if you're driving where no one else has gone before.

Ample Cargo Room

Dodge's all-new RAM 1500 has an impressive cargo volume of 61.5
cubic feet. Quickly step up into the bed with available power running boards,
while the power-release tailgate makes accessing your cargo a cinch. Discover
the class-exclusive optional RamBox cargo-management system, which is a
durable, well-lit, and secure storage system that's neatly stowed away along
the side rails of your Ram's bed.

Posh Interior

Don't be surprised to learn that the 2019 Dodge Ram 1500's biggest
improvements are on
the inside of the cabin. The top-of-the-line Limited is elegantly
trimmed in leather, with a herringbone pattern on the doors, dash, and steering
wheel.

The Laramie, Laramie Longhorn, and Limited come standard with
ventilated front seats, and the Laramie Longhorn allows you to upgrade to
ventilated rear seats as well. While heated second-row seats are standard on
the Laramie Longhorn and Limited (and available on the Laramie), heated front
seats are not available. However, even the back seats are spacious enough to
accommodate up to three adults in quality comfort โ€” so, you can always pull
over and climb in the back seat if you get cold!

All trims also come equipped with
either 5.0-, 8.4-, or 12-inch touch-screen displays, as well as a wide range of
standard and available tech features like a Uconnect infotainment system,
smartphone compatibility, audio systems with six to nine speakers, and more. The options have even more to offer!

Advanced Safety Technology

When you demand the best in active safety features, look to the RAM. Loaded with sensors, cameras, and
sophisticated software, it keeps you informed and in control. With RAMs new
blind-spot monitoring system and rear cross-traffic alerts with trailer
detection, this high-tech truck automatically senses and accounts for the
length of your trailer. A newly available 360-degree camera gives drivers a
complete picture of the vehicle's surroundings, making parking, loading gear,
and hitching up the trailer safer and more secure. That makes taking the family out for a drive or on a road trip more safe and secure than ever before!

In the heated competition to decide who makes the best truck in
the world, our money is on the all-new 2019 Dodge Ram 1500. Test drive your
