Summer Events Happening In Edmonton!

Summer Events Happening In Edmonton!

It’s finally over! After over 170 days of winter, summer has
arrived…now that’s something to celebrate. We’ve curated a fantastic list of a
few of our favourite Edmonton events, festivals, and activities for the whole
crew.

K-Days

Every year, Edmontonians look forward to our annual carnival,
concert series, and RODEO! This year, some of our favourite summer memories
will be made between July 20-29.  I don’t know about you, but I fully
intend on stuffing my face with some exciting new local delicacies, deep fried
everything, and of course….mini doughnuts! Naturally, we will be getting the
RAD Pass (Ride-All-Day) and most likely regretting a few of the mini doughnuts
that I ate in line!

Be sure to check out the New Food Contest happening on July 20
from noon-2pm. Check out some of the most innovative & delicious new
delicacies coming to K-Days this year.

If it gets too hot outside, you can step inside for your Grand
Shopping Experience, with over 350 exhibits for you to explore. It’s hard not
to spend too much money on some of these unique & interesting items for
sale! You can also watch a Pow Wow competition, explore agriculture, and take
the kids to Kid Town for some hands-on activities.

Here in Edmonton, we love our live music. This year we get to
enjoy free (yes FREE) concerts from performers like Billy Talent, The Beach
Boys, Walk Off The Earth, Cheap Trick, Ice Cube, Mariana's Trench, Lil Jon, The
Rural Alberta Advantage, and the Village People (Y-M-C-A…now you have this
stuck in your head!). Every night, you are invited to watch the fireworks as
they light up the sky in an impressive display of colors.

Be sure to watch our Facebook & Instagram page for some
exciting news leading up to the big days!

Sustainival

Sustainival is the world's first green carnival and will be held
at the Edmonton Expo Centre from June
7-10
. This is a free event that is powered entirely by renewable energy.
Since no carnival is complete without some of your favorite rides, you’ll find
a Carousel, Ferris Wheel, Zipper, fun houses, Tilt-a-Whirl, and a Super Shot
with ride coupons available for purchase at the event.

Obsessed with sustainable learning and shows like The Amazing
Race? Be sure to participate in the
Green Beast
Eco Challenge
and
compete for some pretty awesome prizes.

Sustainavle isn’t all just fun, games, and food. It also provides
a public education platform on how we as a community can support and utilize
sustainable technologies.

We’re excited to check out this fun, exciting new festival this
June! For more information,

World
Triathalon Series Edmonton

2018 marks Crosstown Chrysler Jeep Dodge’s second year of support for the World
Triathalon Series this July 27-28 at
Hawrelak Park
. Note that there is no parking on site but there will be
shuttles available and public bike racks located in the park. The series kicks
off Friday morning at 10:15am with the Paratriathalon Lounge Open. Friday
evening, keep an eye out for an outdoor party complete with food vendors, beer
gardens, kids events and more!

There are many places to watch the events at Hawrelak Park such as
the Grandstands, spots around the loops, & the Beer Garden. However, you’ll
find us cheering on Canadian athletes, at the Canada Corner Cheer Party at the
top of Emily Murphy hill! With cheer kits, food trucks, kids activities &
Virgin Radio on site, it’s bound to be an absolute blast for the whole family!

As the Official Vehicle Supplier for the World Triathalon Series
Edmonton, you can bet we’ll be sharing more information leading up to this
exciting weekend! Get more information on their
website!

Edmonton
Folk Music Festival

Kicking off on August 9 until August 12, enjoy four days of incredible
music and food during the Edmonton Folk Music Festival. Late night acts such as
The Decemberists, Lord Huron, and Michael Franti & Spearhead are bound to
bring an incredible viewing and listening experience to everyone! Bring your
chairs and listen to the eclectic line-up of bands. Music genres include
bluegrass, blues, Celtic, folk, gospel, roots, world beat, and some alternative
rock.

Getting hungry? While you are allowed to bring your own snacks
& non-alcoholic beverages, they will have several local concession vendors
on site to satisfy your rumbling tummy.

If you were lucky enough to get tickets to this absolutely
incredible festival, we hope you have the time of your life!  Check out their
website for more information!

While these are only a few of hundreds of festivals that take
place in Edmonton throughout the year. For more festivals during the spring and
summer,
Explore Edmonton has a great list that is sure to have an
experience that fits your interests.
