Local Day Camps Your Kids Will Love

Local Day Camps Your Kids Will Love

Summer is on its way, and you had better start making your summer
plans now if you want to avoid the hassle and confusion later. Facilities are
already starting to develop their programs for the summer. If you wait too
long, registration for camps will open, and you'll miss your chance to get your
kids in. There are plenty of great camp ideas for your kids in Edmonton; you
just have to know where they are. Here are three local day camps your kids will
love.

The YMCA

The YMCA offers summer camp options in many of the areas where they
operate. Edmonton's YMCA is preparing its summer camps that focus on developing
social skills and relationships within the community. The camps are open for
kids of all ages. The prices are very competitive since the YMCA is a
non-profit organization. It keeps prices as low as possible, to the point of
not making a profit on its summer camps. It also offers free care options
before and after day camps so that you won't have to worry about leaving work
early to pick up your kids.

University of Alberta

The University of Alberta (UAlberta) also offers several summer camp options
in Edmonton. The camps focus on academic areas like anatomy, engineering, and
biology. The camps are divided by the grade level of the participants, with
camps for all grades up to grade 12. Prices for these camps range from $150 to
$275, and the camp season begins in mid-May. Registration for these camps is
already open, and many are filling up fast. So you will want to register for
your kids' summer camps as soon as possible.

City of Edmonton Camps

Edmonton also offers summer day camps through the city's services.
There are plenty of camps scheduled for the summer so that you don't have to
worry about not getting your kids in. The camps focus on a wide range of
subjects including art, science, social skills, and other academics. The prices
are affordable compared to other options since they are sponsored by the city.
Registration for those camps is not open yet, but they will open in mid-April.
They are a great way to find a cost-effective day camp option for your kids as
well as to supplement their academics throughout the summer so that they are
ahead for the next school year.

Getting your kids into a day camp is one thing; getting them there
is another. While some camps may provide transportation, most of them do not.
So you'll need a reliable car that can get your kids to camp with all of their
stuff and get you back to work fast. Crosstown Chrysler Jeep Dodge has plenty
of vehicle options that are roomy and fast. Stop by before the summer is here
so that you can make sure that you have a vehicle that will help you get your
kids to camp and anywhere else you need to go reliably, safely, and
comfortably.
