The Best Jeep Vehicles for Off-Roading

The Best Jeep Vehicles for Off-Roading

The summer
months are the perfect time for off-roading adventures. At Crosstown Chrysler Jeep Dodge, we offer a wide variety of Jeep models that are perfect for getting
dirty out in the wilderness. When it comes to getting off the roads and onto
the two-tracks, nothing quite compares to a Jeep. These are the best Jeeps for
those off-road adventures.

Jeep Patriot

The first
reason that the Patriot is a top choice for off-roading is the 19-inch
clearance that lets you navigate through puddles and over greenery without
fear. The Patriot also has four-wheel drive, which gives it plenty of power for
off-roading. For more versatility, the Latitude and the High Altitude packages
are designed for hard driving on paved roads or out in the wild.

Jeep Renegade

Just because
it's the smallest Jeep model, doesn't mean it isn't as mighty as its cousins.
The Renegade comes in a variety of different packages, but the Trailhawk is the
only one that has received Jeep's Trail Rated certification. This little SUV
has Active Drive Low for low-speed traction, as well as Rock Mode in its
Traction Management System for climbing over boulders.

The 2.4L
Tigershark MultiAir 2 engine lets you get deep into the wild and back out
again. It's also got tow hooks for those occasions where you've had a little
too much fun in the mud, as well as a 17-inch ground clearance.

Jeep Cherokee

Like the
Renegade, the Trailhawk version of the Cherokee is Trail Rated by Jeep, and it
wears the badge proudly. This aggressively styled SUV has a front suspension underbody
skid plate for added protection to the vehicle, but only on the 4x4 model.

The
Trailhawk Cherokee also has a pair of tow hooks, just like the Renegade. One
difference between the two is that the Cherokee has a nine-speed transmission
that makes it ready for nearly any trail or weather situation. The front and
rear suspensions let you tackle tough terrain with ease. You can also adjust
the suspension for snowy, rocky, sandy, or muddy conditions.

Jeep Wrangler

This model
takes top honors for off-road ruggedness. Everything about this 4x4 screams
adventure, and because of it, the Wrangler Rubicon was named the
4x4 of the Decade by Four Wheeler. The Wrangler is the
most iconic Jeep, due to its heavy-duty, military-inspired looks. The tough
axles are designed to handle anything that comes their way, and the steel
bumpers are ready for giving assistance to less-capable vehicles.

All of the
Wrangler packages are ready for off-roading with Trail Rating certification.
The Chief is a throwback model styled for the beach, while the Smoky Mountain
Package is styled in all black for on- and off-road fun. Finally, the Big Bear
Package is designed for serious mountain off-roading with added exterior
finishes and accessories for getting lost in the woods.
